The City of Austin D/B/A Austin Energy requires the services of a Systems Analyst hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification general qualifications of a Systems Analyst 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for Austin Energy.

WORK DESCRIPTION: (Add specifics of this contract)

Control Engineering is requiring an experienced System Analyst 3 position that specializes in NERC/CIP Compliance and Cyber Security with emphasis on ICS. The purpose of this position is to support the ADMS and EMS Network infrastructure projects and NERC/CIP Compliance. SCADA/EMS/ADMS is a mission critical real-time system that provides visibility and control for the electric grid.
SCADA/EMS is analogous to the Air Traffic Control System for the airline industry. This position is accountable for troubleshooting, system configuration, designing telemetry interfaces, NERC CIP, interfaces with ERCOT and assisting with system upgrades. In addition, this position will be instrumental and working closely with the Control Engineering Manager on SCADA Control infrastructure improvements and enhancements.

	Excellent communication and problem resolution skills

8+	Experience implementing projects from design to installation and during normal operations
8+	Experience coordinating work with vendors and internally across several workgroups.

8+	Experience with established validation and testing procedures on SCADA/EMS/ADMS
8+	Experience with Interpreting and analyzing FERC/NERC requirements
8+	Experience performing real time and forensic analysis of network and system logs to identify both operational and cyber security issues.
	Knowledge of Computer Networking and Network security
	Extensive knowledge of DHCP servers, DNS servers, File servers, IIS servers, caching servers, Sniffer Hardware & Software, SONET equipment, Wireless Networking and Ethernet wiring.
	NERC CIP V5 standard compliance
8+	Experience reviewing or interpreting circuit maps, electrical drawings, control diagrams and charts for electrical facilities.
	Understanding of electric transmission and distribution
