One security administrator is being solicited by TDI to will assist the Cybersecurity Office with installing, configuring, and maintaining security software and SaaS solutions such as vulnerability management tools and web vulnerability management tools. Duties will also include monitoring security events, analyzing and responding to reported phishing emails, reviewing malware alerts, conducting risk assessments, security policy and procedure development, and contract language reviews and evaluations to ensure vendor compliance with state and federal standards.

***Contractor MUST BE able to accept the delivery of an agency laptop at TDI headquarters (333 Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX). TDI will not ship equipment to Contractor.***

***Work may be carried out from the individual’s home 3 days out of the week at the manager’s discretion with 2 days working in office. Contractor MUST BE physically available to work in the Austin-metro area. ***

Contractor must have reliable internet connectivity and Contractor will be expected to participate in virtual meetings over Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Contractor must be able to participate in a video interview over Microsoft Teams.
Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.
  5 Required Developing security policies, standards, and guidelines using a known framework.
  5 Required Updating security language for agency contracts.
  5 Required Monitoring security logs and events and alerting on suspicious events.
  5 Required Conducting security risk assessments and documenting risk assessment processes.
  5 Preferred Installing and/or configuring security software and or cloud services.
  5 Preferred Creating and updating existing standard operating procedures.
  5 Preferred Running network and web vulnerability assessments.
  5 Preferred Familiarity with various security tools such as nmap, wireshark, and other assessment tools used for discovery and malware analysis.
